In Boston this spring will be lots of cosplay. PAX East in March, Boston Comic Con in April, Anime Boston in May, and a Star Trek con in June.

i guess every group has got to have its bullies. but i like the stuff about sharing love and dedication with fellow fans.

I have asked the same question to a few of my friends who do cosplay and they tell me that there are some cosplayers out there who will turn their noses up at you if you didn't make the costume yourself (mostly if you try to enter the contests), but there are quite a few cosplayers out there who don't care either way because they understand that not everybody knows how to sew or has time, etc. It is more about just having fun and sharing your love and dedication with fellow fans.
