Awesome acoustic performance from the Icelandic quartet. For the uninitiated, the lyrics are always in their own unique language (sometimes referred to as 'Hopelandic'). Sit back and enjoy this clip - check out the incredible falsetto!

  • It is refreshing that there are still people in this world that are more involved in musicianship and creativity rather than image

  • Dear lord!

If you thought Takk was good, hook yourself up a copy of Ágætis Byrjun and a bottle of merlot..... 'nuff said!

    Bless.

  • I remember watching this when it was originally broadcast. I love them.

  • Isn't this the acoustic version of 4th track of their 2002 untitled album / bracket "( )" album? It's also called "Njósnavélin".

  • SENZA PESO IL MIO CUORE,QUANDO SCORRONO LE TUE PAROLE!

  • Love them

  • A lot of the songs are in Icelandic but Jonsi also uses his voice like an instrument. Making up words that just fit in that has come to be dubbed Hopelandic. I translated some lyrics from Hoppipola but as amazing as the lyrics are I kind of prefer not knowing what they say exactly. :)

  • @stojkovicigor A Good portion of Sigur Ros's music has lyrics that aren't real words just used to go along better with the music sort of like using his voice as an instrument

  • @Vidartmp

    tnx a lot man

  • @stojkovicigor

It doesnt have a text, just sounds they think that fits the music

  • @rossmorris

how's that 'about anything'?! Even in Serbia or elsewhere musicians are singing about something:love,faith,nature,country...Only Dead Can Dance and Cocteau Twins aren't singing about anything particularly :)

Can you explain me meaning of 'If you read up on Sigur Ros you will see'?

    Tnx

  • he isnt strictly singing about anything. if you read up on Sigur Ros you will see.
