@roulio17 Get an Evans EMAD 2 bass drum head and tune it loose both batter and front, the EMAD 2 make just about any bass drum sound incredible. Expect to pay $35-$40 look on ebay for the right size

hi, i have a traps but i can't get a real good sound with the bass drum. i know you used mics for the video but do you have some tips to help me.
i tried with a t-shirt inside and without but it's always the same. no clear and fat sound.

well i would say yeah you could use it for anything! just customize it to fit your needs. one this particular set ive taken out the stock flat bass drum and put a really nice old fibes BD.

This is probably a stupid question, but I should try to find out before buying one of those. Can you change the heads???

yes you can change the heads. it came with stock pinstripes

How do you get the toms and bass drum to sound so good? Is it a case of careful tuning or good micing?
A lot of other people who post up videos of the traps a400 kit have toms and bass that sound really bad...

actually i used two mics. one on the bass drum and one over head right into imovie and then i processed the sound through ableton.
