PCC Cars@Boston

PCC Cars are still in use in the Ashmont-Mattapan High Speed Line in Boston MBTA. They are originally built between 1943 and 1946.

How did you get so close to the line between the stations? Seems like you were pretty close, I'm surprised you weren't told to get back.

Thank you for your comment. I filmed them just on the station platform, Valley Rd. and Cedar Grove. I didn't get movies between the stations.

There was a thread in the Boston Traction Yahoo! group about the sqealing wheels on this line. After viewing the vid I understand what they were talking about. I visited Boston in August 2007 and rode the Red Line to Ashmont. The A-M HSL was "bustituted" at the time.

I loved riding the PCC's through Cedar Grove cemetary !  Then over the Penn Central line bridge. Those trolleys use to bounce like bucking broncos !!
