Mumbai: Jermaine Jackson, the older brother of the late pop star Michael Jackson, is dedicating a song to Mumbai city as a sign of tribute to the place that hosted Michael Jackson back in 1996.
Titled Let's Go to Mumbai City, the song will have a video that will see Jermaine singing in several actual locations of Mumbai like Haji Ali, Gateway of India and Marine Drive for which special permissions have been obtained from the civic authorities.
"There is a four-day shooting schedule lined up for Jermaine by T-series. The music for the album is being composed by Adnan Sami," said an insider close to this development. Sources say he will have a massive entourage of security following him too.
Jermaine's shoot will also show him shaking a leg on the city's public transports and even at the slums.
Since he is arriving on Gandhi Jayanti, he will be wearing khadi all through the day. The khadi outfit is being provided by the giant music label company T-series which is also hosting him in the city and producing the album.
"The song Let's Go to Mumbai City would feature both Jermaine and Adnan in it and is being directed by Divya Khosla Kumar (wife of the music label owner Bhushan Kumar)," the source adds.
"We are very happy to collaborate with Jermaine Jackson and looking forward to make this the most memorable visit for him," said Bhushan Kumar.

the song is poor but listen to "Castle of sand" by Jermaine. That man used to be the best soul singer of the family plus few people could rock the bass and sing and dance all at the same time like Jermaine.
@manthevan I have heard the song Castle of sand. I still stand by what I said earlier. He was maybe good back in the day but not as good as MJ. Is not because I'm bias. I even think Janet and sister Rebbie have a better voice. And so what if he can play the bass. Dance what dance are you talking about. Jermaine is an okay singer. If he was that good than why did he not go on to have success like Janet and Michael. I'm just throwing that out there. Lets face it he is milking MJ death.
1. Rebbie or Janet could never pull off a song like Castle of Sand. They are ok singers but thats it. 2. What do you mean by so what if he can play bass. It is one thing to play bass but it's another thing to funk it up like Jermaine at an young age and sing at the same time. As a musician myself I know that it is a lot harder to play the bass like that and sing simultaneously than play guitar or piano and sing because the bass player is the one in the band (together with the drummer)
who maintains the rythm whereas the others just follow. It isn't hard to play like Paul McCartney and sing but to do the Jamerson or Watts lines is very hard. 3. Well he moved along with the choreography. What do you expect, him to moonwalk at the same time as well? 4. The success argument is so lame. Jermaine never had the mainstream appeal like Janet and Michael obiously. But there are so many poor artists that sells a lot of records so don't mix up talent and appeal.
@manthevan You act like I don't much about him. I have been a fan of Michael and the Jacksons since I was 8. Jermaine sole album let's Get Serious was one of his best. He had some great songs during the 80s. The point I'm trying to make is his talent does not equal to that of Michael period. Yes, he can play the instrument but he wasn't the only one in the family. He never sold a lot of records even as a poor artist as you claim. Since his brother's death he is milking it for all that is worth.
Jermaine wrote and produced good songs for others (like Whitney and Switch) as well as himself. He also played most of the instruments on some of his records. You may not like him but to say he didn't have talent is lame. Michael was the greatest, but Jermaine wasn't bad although not to be compared with his brother.
@manthevan I never said he was talent-less. I just said he doesn't have it as much as the others. He is not the only one in the Jackson family who can play an instrument. Michael, and Randy both played instruments. MJ could play the piano. Anyways, NO I never expected him to moonwalk and yes there is a lot of great artists who don't have mainstream appeal but still sell lots of records. Jermaine didn't sell that much records period.
@manthevan I have no doubt as a producer he was pretty good. He produced a made for T.V movie about the Jackson family in 1993. I thought it was the best movie about that family that was made. I hope if there was ever going to be a movie about Michael which portrays truly who MJ was as a person and as an artist I hope that Jermaine would produce it. A lot of all this other movies about MJ are all tabloid junk in my opinion. I just think in terms of singing he was okay, again is just my opinion.
@manthevan I don't comment to me like you know more about Jermaine Jackson than I do. I have heard the Castle of Sand & most of his songs. I am not trying to down play the fact he could play an instrument. Playing instrument was his talent but that is it in my opinion. I'm just stating that MJ had more talent period. I also think his sisters Rebbie and Janet are very good. Jermaine is okay, he has talent but his okay. You can disagree with me if you like but dont act like you know more about him
@manthevan Actually, You're right! I liked "I'm just too Shy" I kinda like this video. However it seems too hastily made. Michael Jackson Fans will nt be convinced. You should see some of the stuff they say on the Jermaine Jackson videos
