anyone who's doing aikido, and interested in tai chi,
id really recommend them checking out bagua zhang instead.
the two connect very well together.
in fact, bagua may be the art that helped o sensei develop aikido from it's jujitsu roots.
tai chi is great.
but man, bagua and aikido? peanut butter and chocolate...

Tai chi in slow motion, is that really necessary? :P
(Just joking. I actually enjoyed this video a lot, and I think Tai chi is an impressive martial art)

I was also instructed by a Dan to try it out.
Luckily I could find a tutor in Chen-Style. (Otherwise there is only that QiGong-pseudo-Tai-Chi)
I will begin training soon.
(He himself is also a Taiji-Master but refrained from teaching me for some reason.)

Aikido is a Japanese ... "way of harmony with the universe". Taichi is from China... and this person misnamed the video. This is Taichi not Aikido. So you are right in asking "Why is this called "aikido"??"
