As the academic year draws to an end, students at Raja Balwant Singh College in Taj City are angry they cant attend classes due to a teacher walkout. The standoff has been going on for a month now.
On Thursday, students turned violent, rampaging across the campus.
[Sonu Chaudhari, Student]:
"We don't know what is happening. We are protesting because we want them to resume our classes. For their interests, they should not cause discomfort to students."
The teachers say they are ready to teach, but that their classrooms have been locked by administration officials.
[Hari Nimohi, Teacher]:
"Some teachers are ready to teach but the problem is they have locked the classrooms, how are they going to teach?"
The students threatened to take extreme measures if classes were not resumed.
Stupid!A class room is not the only place a students can get taught!Locked Classrooms is a weak excuse! The truth is the teachers do not want to work!
