GTP: After 50 years of independent?

The idea of a Government transformation Programme(GTP) was mooted and introduced by Prime minister Dato'Sri Najib Tun Razak in early 2009. As part of this transformation programme, 6 National Key Areas (NKRA) with specific Key Performance Indicators(KPI) were identified as priorities for the rakyat namely Corruption, Crime, Rural Basic Infrasturcture, Urban Public Transport, Low Income Household and Education.

Spearheaded by Performance Management Delivery Unit(PEMANDU), conducted 6 laboratories(labs) on these NKRA's. During an intense 6 week period of these labs, over 200 civil servants and facilitators, worked together to analyse, generate, ideas, debate, develop and test solutions to achieve big results fast.

The labs participants are now ready to share their work in progress to selected segments of the public in order to obtain feedback and input. These will be used to improved and validate the output of the labs. For this purpose they are conducting 'GTP Open Day'sessions to seek input from public.
