A PML Cirrus Dart zooms past Mach 1.5 and an estimated 10,000 feet on an Aerotech I600 at RocStock XXVI at Lucerne Dry Lake Bed in California.

  • hey is that rock stock

  • yes. and i'll be at this rocstock (june) with another cirrus on an I285. But my school is paying for it, not me :D

  • Hehehehe... Cirrus Dart on an I600. That's funny. Brave, too.

Did you find it, or is it still out there?

  • There was a rocket hunter in there, but it failed after 30 seconds. We think the rocket's delay was too short and the chute shredded during a high speed deployment, sending the rockethunter tumbling to earth for nearly 30 seconds from 10,000 feet. On impact, we think the rocket hunter broke. We lost the signal, and the rocket, and the casing :(

    Expensive: yes :(

But if I didn't launch it, I would be much more disappointed. This is just an excuse to try again :D

  • just wondering, are ur estimations from rocksim? :O

  • Any plans to do a J570 in a cirrus?

  • cool

  • Wow! Great job. I'm working on one of those...

  • There you go... Build another one. Bummer about the casing and the transmitter, though.

I'll keep my eyes peeled this year... 8^)
