  • which program is this an expansion for exactly?

  • I think Fxpansion is the actual drum program, not just an expansion to something else.

  • @Neocron Thanks, I thought the same a few years ago... I liked over-processed libraries, but when you learn how to mix drums and the variety of sounds that you can obtain of a raw library... I just stopped searching: "Preset Drums stuff" because you realize maybe my favorite album was recorded with 30 different snares each one with different EQ and Dynamic processing.

  • @Lgw1984

That is of course a strong point.

  • @Neocron

It's not mixed, that the cool thing about BFD, that the drums are recorded clean, without any processing.

There are other libraries, they sound pretty because it is processed, but the problem with processed samples is that you can't "UN-Compress" a sample, so you have the sound that the recording engineer of the company thought you wanted.

5 songs later you realize that ALL your songs sound the same and you can't do anything about it. Trust me, BFD is the best.

  • @MrChrisjack26

Sounds generic because it's totally clean so you can mix it (like in a Studio).

Processed samples sound better at first, but you can only sound the way it was recorded. Believe, I've had drum libraries and you get tired of getting the same sound. BFD is for people who want to be able to mix their drums.

  • Not impressed? Really?

Check out the Youtube vid intitled "BFD2 Mixing Drums Tutorial"

I think then you might at least have to give Fxpansion their props for the progress they've made since this, their 1st release of a fine product !

  • Sorry, but iam not impressed.

  • this shit sounds generic and thin
