  • Stupid Americans. The dumbing down of America has been a huge success. People actually think paper made from cotton fibers is more valuable than pure silver.

  • Did anyone else notice he didn't try to spend the Maple leaf silver bullion either? I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that it would have been refused as well. That's just crazy! Silver bullion (Maple leaf & Ron Paul) are 1 troy ounce of PURE silver! That's worth about 16 "dollars" each. No wonder he's shining shoes/selling hot dogs on the street...They're IDIOTS! $16 bucks for a HOTDOG and he said NO?!?!?!?!

  • I would have took that silver coin and made an extra $28 for selling a hotdog. Education is key here. Translation: "Hey would you take this 1oz of silver or this useless paper as payment?" lol

  • I would take it

  • @fhesi3

You know it's illegal to use precious metals as money in America, right?

  • Sheeples everywhere...

  • @fhesi3 Paper made with cotton fibers is more valuable than pure silver (assuming its the right demonination).

This is a fact, denying it doesn't make other people stupid. I can go to any vendor in just about the entire world and buy things with United States dollars.

What is it you guys say? Something is worth what the market thinks its worth?

Who are you to doubt the market

  • @fhesi3 lol how they could they resist being payed in silver. The only reason is if they cant tell the difference between real and fake silver.

  • @kanakalono No, it is simply that the specific coin used is not officially recognized currency with the full faith and credit of the US Treasury. That is what "recognized currency for trade in the US" means.

  • @tgoyer what are you talking about that the US gov't do not recognize silver, in any form, as legal tender? the united States Constitution states that money is only silver and gold.

  • @jntramey and as i write this, if that guy would have taken the ron paul coin he would have sold that dog for $35 lmao!

  • @tgoyer If anything, it demonstrates that we have lost the subtle art of bartering.
