Demonstrates high degree of training and vigilance by small town VFD.

Lucky pilot can be seen out of the aircraft (a/c), standing on runway, shortly after a/c stops forward motion. Aircraft impacted inverted with enough force to break canopy but not enough force to collapse upper wing cabane struts thereby allowing pilot to escape burning a/c by simply unhooking seatbelts.

  • Diving at ribbon. He was performing an inverted ribbon and was too high. Cut the ribbon but did not nave enough altitude to recover. Once the rudder hit the runway it as all over.

  • Pilot very lucky, hit hard enough to break canopy but not hard enough to collapse the cobaine struts. Only injury was when the rudder hit his shoulder when the dropped out of the cockpit before the plane slide to a stop. .
