Come on dude, enjoy life and stop fretting about all of this. If you think he is wonderful then so be it. That is not going to change my mind. I was a belly dancer and I know what it is all about. He dances like a woman and he is very feminine in spite of all the muscles. Please leave it alone. You are not going to change my mind and I am not here to make a difference in your opinion.

@merlinado To the contrary--I wasn't looking to "pick a fight" at all until you were rude (and not even then really). I had figured that if you were interested in something you would like to know that there's a historical, valid reason for it. My opinion about male belly dancing notwithstanding it does have a place in the factual history of dance. I was actually interested in your opinion but I guess having a discussion on youtube is just asking too much of some people.

You want to pick a fight and I don't. Not interested in anyone's opinion and in particular yours no matter what it might be. Move on and get a life.

@merlinado Unfortunately I can't congratulate you back :( It's wrong to be an enabler for ignorance.

congrats for having an opinion.

@merlinado That's so unfortunate that you think so... Actually belly dance as an art form includes both the male and the female (for various historical and social reasons which I don't have quite the room to put but even a simple google search would do you a service!) Also, to define something as masculine and feminine based on your sex overlooks gender completely. Although, I suppose you are also someone who disagrees with Kabuki theater for example!
Personally I think that he is so wonderful!

No matter how masculine they think they are male belly dancers are gay and feminine. This kind of dancing was meant for women only. Don't take me wrong I am gay and I cannot understand how a male belly dancer can pretend to be either masculine or straight.

I have tried and tried but cannot imitate that move at 2:01. How does he do that little "accent" with the turn/scoop?
-
Great musicality, graceful and entertaining - a pleasure to watch!
-
The move at 2:01 is cool.
Very strong, very masculine, very real. Loved it.
I've only just started dancing myself after watching my wife grow through Belly Dance. Now I'm hooked, and dancers like Jim Boz show how it's done. In many ways, more enteraining than Tito
