Enjoy episode 2!
I told myself I wouldn't do it again. Not after last time. There were so many things he didn't get to do. Too many things we didn't get to do. But, like anyone could have guessed, love always finds its way back.
It's a hard thing to go though, losing someone that close to you. One second they're there, and the next they are gone. Forever. It's almost unreal. You go through a lot of things on you life. Lots of stories that you can't wait to tell your friends or parents. One part of my story that doesn't end in heartbreak, at least I hope it won't, I am going to tell you.
After the accident people said that I never carried myself the same way. They all say I seemed to have lost a little bit of confidence. Everyone seemed to have noticed. I don't want to seem melodramtic, but what did they expect? Life is never the same after a death.
But anyway, after my senior year after I graduated I continued onto college. I wanted to get as far away from that dinky little town as possible. The memoried were too much. The farthest place I applied to was FIU. Florida International University. The only thing I didn't want to leave behind was my family. My little brother Liam. He was 15. I love him so much. He was at my side everyday after the accident. And then there's Ross, my older brother. He was 21 at the time of the accident. Although he was in college he managed to send me a text message every hour on the hour and call every five hours. It was like clockwork. It was as if he was waiting to dial. My mom was always there too. She was the first one there. The first one I hugged when I heard the news.
As the summer before college passed, I didn't really talk to anyone, I had the best friend you could ever ask for though. At my house everyday for two weeks after it happened. I'd been friends with Savannah since kindergarten. It was one of those perfect friendships that couldn't be broken no matter what. Like we had been seperated at birth. It was nice knowing all of those people were there for me. Savannah might be going to college in New York, but I know we're still going to talk everyday.
I'm afraid of opening up to people at college. None of them are going to know what I've been through and how emotionally unstable I am. And of course, I'll have know idea what any of them have been through. It's a big change considering I've lived in a small town in Connecticut for all my life. Everyone knew everything about everyone. No secrets. It was a sort of a nice and secure feeling, knowing no one had anything to hide.
