Tan: I think my performance was excellent.
Coach He Hua: I am not familiar with how the judges work. Sixin is not perfect and we should improve it. I am not questioning Sixin's score, but I have a little query on the Russian gymnast's. I can't say that the judges are wrong. But personally I think there are problems. As for the CV part, her D score was 6.5 in previous sessions, at least the Difficulty is not right. Because CV should not be awarded for a failed element. But her CV was awarded. She also has two mistakes which worth 0.5 deduction, you know, the handstands. And putting her feet on the mat obviously should be deducted a full point. I've no idea. We had problems and mistakes, but I really feel sorry for the jury's desision.

  • @wineformybetches But Vika's mistake cost 1.5 (hitting the mat and the KCH after the hitting). While Sixin's two deadhangs only cost 0.6.

  • That happened in the AA too. I was actually there and when the scores came out I thought it could only be because of Sixin's lower difficulty score. Now that I know they start from the same score it's really just... unfair.

  • i think komova really deserves a lower execution score, although she'll still beat Tan for a gold.

one thing i'm not sure about Tan's score, why did she only get a 7.something? apart from near deadhangs and some missed hangstands, what else has she done wrong?

  • @lovepandas It didn't stop Vika's momentum though..those dead hangs can effect other skills...Tan wouldn't have so many if she went down to the low bar earlier in the routine. Its like she spends 75 percent of the routine on the high bar...that is tiring

  • @ngohoiGEM No. Their difficulty scores were the same (both had 6.5). Komova was the best gymnast there, but she was also openly the judges' favorite and received some gift scores that she did not earn, including this UB score. Tan's routine was better on this day.

  • @wineformybetches I think Komova's UB is ugly with so obvious error.

    Komova robbed Tan's gold definetly.

  • Komova got higher cos her difficulty was higher?

  • @orangegal31 you are right, but better judging system, not at all, sometimes e-scores seems a bit too high on some gymnasts!

and i know the 2007 worlds got another COP but li shanshan winning silver with a fall, should not be, although i love her a lot!

Viktoria Komova and Tan Sixin for AA gold and silver 2012!!! :)

  • first i saw the results and then the routines, i thought tan and komova made huge mistakes, but only komova made huge mistakes, okay komovas routines are usually cleaner, but tan didn´t make any big mistake, i think tan should have won this!

A champion with a "fall"? Should not be!

  • What major error Tan had compared to Komova's hitting mat?
