You are completely right, but certain peoples from both sides do not compromise or nor will ever. Government pays farmers not to grow food crop. Government throws obstacles in my way to keep me from working to my potential, then penalizes me with higher taxes when I do. Government makes my customers jump hurdles to improve their lives, and then punishes them with higher property taxes for fixing a damned window or door. Big government discourages growth...they want to control it and tax it.

Wow, well said. Thank you.  Keep spreading the message, we're getting around to some people little by little. I live in DC and the protests outside the White House increase each month, so it's a good sign! Hopefully in 2010, we can get some more congressmen and senators elected that will continue to challenge the Bush-Obama war machine.

We are largely in this mess because there are alot of us who have over extended ourselves. If we get back to responsibility and start living within our own means, that is our only hope. Otherwise, we will stay on this same path. I do not agree with the big bail outs as the banks and AIG should have been allowed to fail. Just as any individual should fail if money is mismanaged.

that understood what this country needed. JFK said it best, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." Perfect. with Obama it's all about what the country can do for you. What programs the Fed Government can provide, what safety nets they can create us. His whole time as President has been spent arguing how spending our money on the Government will make our lives better, by letting the Government solve our problems for us. I can solve my own problems.

and let's face it, he's always promoted Government support in just about any damn thing you can think of, remember one thing, the Federal Governments entire existence was meant to be of that of protection for the people of America against foreign enemies, PERIOD. It was never meant to be here so it could solve all our domestic problems for us. That was up to us, and the states. Read the constitution. Read quotes from Thomas Jefferson, Lincoln, JFK , MLK Jr. etc. those are men...

People say this is crazy talk, but think about it, why in the hell would a Government that is questionable in it's tactics, let a supposed free thinking, idea having, change promoting hero, come in and 'Change' everything? Hes green in Washington, he doesn't have experience in World Leadership, he doesn't know how to run a military, he isn't ready to decide a nations fate, a nations economic future, their military future, their foreign diplomacy, he's surrounded by people that are giving him information, and advising him what to do with it. He's not a spark, he's face, a face to put in front of the camera and justify the means of the rich and powerful, the ones who command the real authority.

The only thing i hear from you is exactly what i've heard from his supporters from day one. You need to realize first off is this deal and these problems are much bigger than him. He's not in control of anything, He's simply the one chosen to e the spokesman of what has and will happen, it's the point i've made. He's not a savior, he's not a hero, he's a salesman.
