A quick overview of the Benchmade CSK-II. This knife has served me well, I can't say anything bad about it. This is my first table top video of a knife, so please leave some feedback on the video, tell me stuff I can do better, please no rude comments.

  • I would spray the blade with paint stripper. What's left of the coating will come right off and it'll look a lot better. A little oil will keep it rust free.

  • @whitethronebooks I am going to look into that, but I will definitely have to watch it for rust after that.

  • Good review and even better that you don't talk like 10-20 minutes about a simple fixed blade. I also like the fact that you actually used your knife before you made this review. But there is one thing I'm curious about: have you tried batoning? You said it's probably not a good idea because of the thin edge but a knife with such a large blade...I only would take it with me in the woods if batoning wasn't any problem at all.

BTW: I'm using my girlfriends account :D

  • @becci1603 Yes I have tried batoning, I haven't batoned through a massive stump, maybe 5 inch logs at the largest, and i didn't have any problems, but because of the thin edge I don't think it'll be the best for chopping. I urge you to watch Nutnfancys videos on this knife, if you haven't already. he chips his by chopping.

  • @TheSherminator64 Jasco stripper works better than most other brands. I recently used it on a Ka-Bar Mark 1, and it did a great job. Flitz polish easily removes any staining that develops. Best wishes.

  • Great review. You explained that nut fancy's review where he chips the CSK in cold high altiude climate. He is a doush bag x 100!

  • i Just recently purchased mine I am very impressed with the quality of the sheath for a leather sheath its super thick and the blade came razor sharp which makes me super duper happy So nice review...

  • Nice review! :)

  • so this is my actual account :). thanks for your reply. I've already seen the nutnfancy video (many times :D) but I think maybe the knife chipped because of a bad heat treatment. this happens sometimes and benchmade most likely exchanges the broken knife with a flawless one immediately.

if your knife was able to chop 5 inch thick branches...everything is all right isn't it?
