Emachines PC ET1161-07 Good For Gaming

I recommend this PC and i don't recommend it, if you get a NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT it will be a great computer can run STALKER, Farcry 2, Mirrors Edge, and even Bioshock. GTA 4 runs on high and highest which is awesome and runs with no lag. The problem with this pc is Windows Vista but that wont be a problem because of Windows 7 which you can get for it, but putting in the graphics card can be a problem because there is a plate which you have to break, overall its pretty good.

@MrCool187 Well I have a custom built PC and that gets about 60-70 frames in Counter Strike Source, about 50-65 in Left 4 Dead. My ET1161-07 gets about 50-60 in Counter Strike Source, about 30-40 in Left 4 Dead.

hey man hes right about emachines, they can be turned into pretty good computers if your looking to save some cash... ive had my Emachines W3502 since 06 and i havent had any probs with it...ive upgradeed it a bit tho

on gta iv i get about 20-35 fps with it :)

@Maul9999 Also read list of video card on wiki for specs. Then you will see that both DDR3 are almost same.

@TheAndreas15 Yes i know! But still it didn't improve a lot like 3 times. It just increase a little more speed from 9400 GT. I have 9500 GT DDR2, it is really good for half life 2 on high and better than 9400 GT. It is more smooth because i have AMD 64 with 512 kb and 9500 GT. If i got slowest CPU like 128 KB with 9500 GT then It won't help my half life to smooth on high. I buy 9500 GT for replace my old 6100. All Geforce 6 is bad and problem.

@TheAndreas15 That is not sure. GT 220 and 9400 GT have same Shader Model and DirectX 10. Also, i don't think GT 220 3 time better than GT 9400. It is just little improve. GT 9400 is much fast memory and shader clock than GT 220. Both GT 9400 and GT 220 is same bandwidth speed if they're both DDR3. GT 220 is more pure picture than GT 9400 because of high fillrate.
