i understand her desperation 100%,but in some odd way i feel nothing about it.her rut is VERY well-observed.its too 1-sidedly bleak+undramatic,though.i dont see her going through a great emotional journey,but rather she's living in a great+constant hell from which there seems2b no return.even variety of different kinds of bleakness,depression+suffering could b interesting,but its persistently going for1kind of rut,which doesnt fuflill me emotionally as a viewer.uncompromisingly unshifting tone!

at least the film's consistent about being utterly despondent, dour, joyless. the film makes food looks bad and bland, unappetizing, makes music sound pointless, droning. human relationships look meaningless and going nowhere. this film stays too long on the same tone and sparks no special emotions whatsoever, with a bad situation or plot that seems dramatically inconsequential and unchanging, and yet her acting is totally believable. i identify with her terrible situation but it doesnt move me.
