Quiring Towing- Volvo EC380D Excavator Stuck pt.1

An unfortunate event where an excavator slid into a settling pond when the berm failed under it.The machine was completely on its side submerged.The engine stopped when it ingested water and is dead.The machine only has about 300 hours on it .this was filmed on the second day of recovery,The power from the D9 cat pulling also broke the final drive off,it sheared the inside bolts all off.The first day was used getting it to this starting point.Recovery Contractor is Quiring Towing of Aldergrove ,B.C.

why was someone not in it while you were trying to pull it out and they could of had the tracks moveing instead of dragging it. shows the good opperators from the bad.

why didnt you move some of the dirt in front of it instead of trying to pull it over that mound??would of been easyer

@646klein That 'mound' is all rock product from this pit that took them 3 days to build as an access road to the machine.This is a 30 foot deep silt settling pond at a gravel pit.The machine was submersed on its side right under water
