  • It sounds more like a Powell than a lunkenheimer, but its clearly a lunkenheimer.

  • @97trainman it's Actually a Star Brass 3 Chime.

  • new whistle on the 154 i see. Not too bad. Nice video!

  • @WSOR10C it was just a special occasion, the 5" Crosby was sitting in the cab. and thanks!

I think the old whistle suits her better.

  • @SierraRailway I believe so too, but this was a nice change of pace in my opinion.

  • @kdn3249 to answer your question, yes in a way. during the week this is a shortline railroad that transfers freight between the major railroads and in local spots. (Knoxville Holston River Railroad) but on the weekend they run an excursion train using either Washington and Lincolnton 203, Southern 154 (both 2-8-0s) or the diesel you see in the video. and thanks it is great to be back!

  • This is great video. I liked the angles you shot from. I live 5 hours south of Knoxville and was not aware of this railroad. I assume it is a heritage/tourist line?

    PS Welcome Back!!!
