These guys are good. Some of their versions are the best I've heard, but I have to say for "Whiskey in The Jar" check out the Kilkennys. You may or may not agree but give a listen to this and some of their other songs and see if you don't also become a fan.

@madfortrad5958 and @MetallicAyManowaR Actually, it originated in the 17th and 18th centuries and it may have been the inspiration for "The Beggar's Opera", which is, incidentally, the play that gave us the origin of the song "Mack the Knife."

i think seamus ennis performed this first in 1952 the dubliners made it famous in the 1960s
