The Luxe/Rumors - Henry, Penelope & Diana

***SPOILERS BEWARE****

3. Or do not understand the concept of creative license, don't like to use your imagination and get really agitated when the period/costuming is not 100% correct.

It's a FAN video. Just to let everyone know. Which means part of the plot can be my own invention and the characters will not appeal to everyone's sensibilites.

****My thoughts*****
I do not particularly like Sean Bean for Henry as he is way too old, even in profile shots, and dressed like a Russian soldier. However, he was one of the only men who interacted with both women. Furthermore, the time period of this film is 1889 Russia, so we're about a decade off in costuming. I don't need people telling me, since I already know.
I am very pleased with the ladies for Diana and Penelope (even though Diana is, according to the book, a brunette)

Plot (Spoilers):
This is very difficult to write because its almost impossible to not give away pivotal plot points. But I'll do my best. Upon finishing Rumors, I was a bit upset with a certain plot twist regarding the love triangle between Penelope, Henry and Diana. Suffice it to say that I am not happy with Miss Hayes and cannot wait until the third book "Envy", for her to get her comeuppance. This is my sweet revenge on her.

For those who HAVE read "Rumors":
You will recognize the opening scene as one that correlates to the beginning of the book. This video basically switches points of view but mainly focuses on Henry and Penelope. Henry is in love with Diana but is forced into a marraige with the conniving Penelope who deludes herself into thinking that she can win back his love, just like it used to be. However (in my sweet world) she soon realizes that a marriage based on lies is doomed to failure and she becomes tormented with the feeling that Henry and Diana are having an affair, eventually leading to a complete mental collapse.

Mind you, I am NOT in any way, shape or form affiliated with Anna Godbersen - just an avid fan of her books, on tenterhooks for the next installment and wishing she would write faster =]. I've formed an attachment to some of her characters and I sincerely hope that Diana and Henry will be together. I'm not sure what is going to happen to Penelope but I guess you can call this video wishful thinking on my part...lol ;)

Diana is played by Mia Kirshner - the cute little one in the white dress, and red furry coat. The black haired brunette with the full bangs is Penelope. And the guy is Henry - not my first choice AT ALL, but I attempted to keep the shots as far away as possible to give him the illusion of being yonger.
