3G+/HSPA Radio Tweak to Increase Data Speeds on the Xperia X10

This radio tweak updates the radio settings for higher downloads/uploads.

Your phone MUST be rooted to apply this tweak.
It should work on ANY X10 running 2.1 or above.
You MUST have Update Service installed.
You MUST have PC Companion installed.
You MUST turn off User Account Control.
You MUST run everything as administrator.

Your phone does NOT have to be rooted.
Your phone does NOT have to be unlocked.

The following carriers have been tested as of 2011-02-26:
Canada: Rogers, Telus
France: Bouygues Télécom, Orange, SFR
Germany: Rogers
India: AirTel, Vodafone
Indonesia: Telkomsel
Latvia: Tele2
Mexico: Iusacell/Unefon
Netherlands: Vodafone
New Zealand: Vodafone
Philippines: Globe Telecom
Sweden: Telenor
United Kingdom: Orange, Three, Vodafone
USA: AT&T

If your carrier is not on this list, you can still try this tweak with generic, global settings. If you carrier supports the higher speeds, it will still work.

NOTE:
- If your carrier's network does NOT support higher speeds, this tweak will have no effect.
- Using higher speeds/power on the radio will use more battery life. However, I haven't seen significant decreases in battery life on my X10 (Rogers) since higher speeds means the phone spends less time downloading.
i.e. Downloading a 1 MB file at 100 KB/s ~ 10 seconds but download at 200 KB/s ~ 5 seconds so the trade-off is worth it.

Will rooting allow me to play nfs shift on my xperia x10 i . i tried everything possible but the game never runs on my phone ..

@MrDjwise Rooting allows applications to modify the system. Unless NFS needs root, rooting won't change the situation.

hi,i wanted to try this tweak but when i download the rar file my anti virus detect a trojan (rageagainst...something else) is the file corrupted? is there other link?

one last thing,sorry to bother you.....if i do the tweak and i running a 2.1 rom and i want to change to cm6 rom 2.2,do i have to re-tweak(is that the word) my new rom?

@karlos777x Rage modifies hardware so it'll be detected as something potentially dangerous. That and your virus scanner isn't that smart... :p Get Microsoft Security Essentials. It's free, lightweight, fast and probably the best free one now.

Wait do I have to do the adb shell root option in super one click? I rooted my phone and updated to 2.2. so I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.

Well my phone is rooted, USB debugging is on, and PC companion says it has the latest version so I'm just going to try to uninstall it then reinstall it again. Hopefully it works. Any suggestions if it doesn't?
