First of two parts. This match was too good to edit out any of it. This might be my all-time favorite "classic match" from this awesome era of pro bowling, featuring the two premiere players of the era, Mark Roth and Earl Anthony. This was also a "home game" for Roth.

Also featured on this telecast was 17-year-old Pete Weber, who was making his first national TV appearance. He's not included in this clip, and I may go back and post his match later if I still have it. But he played like a rookie and got beat pretty bad. So it's low on my list of priorities right now. Maybe later.

  • @TheBrassHole Agreed..Watching Walter Ray Williams is almost like watching Roth. WRW did not

seem to have the spare accuracy that Earl or Dick Weber had.

  • The old style of Anthony (the gratest ever) vs. the new style of Roth. Now every one bowls like Roth but wishes they were Anthony. :)

  • Bowling Oldies - I agree, this is one of the matches I'll never forget, featuring my two favorite bowlers ever - Earl and Mark Roth.

  • This is great stuff, BO...keep it coming. This was truly the golden era of pro bowling.
