I saw them too on TYLS and I remembered it as being the Troggs - I was only 6 at the time. It wasn't till I heard our drummer the great Lenny Helsing singing it that I found out what it was (that was 2010)

Bought this single after seeing the band perform it on an old pop show.....TYLS or Discs a gogo.
The lead singer had laced up flies on his slacks, whatever....lol..
Nice thing is, doesnt sound dated..
