@Staticnz for precisely the same reason the UK were party to a war crime in Iraq and chief perpetrators Blair and Campbell walk free to this day. Its an unfair world. The album this track was on was actually recroded between Feb-June 1979 making it all the more remarkable as you can hear so much (Visage/Numan/Bowie) that was to be released post this period. The album did reach No.7 on the UK album chart when finally released in 1981. Sad that Gary Numan failed to work with him successfully.
Many of Bill Nelson's solo tracks sound like serious major hits. I wonder why he didn't get the commercial success he so obviously deserved (and got to a greater extent with Be Bop Deluxe, and then not enough).
@GNeuman this is the single version released well after the album was released probably around the time Bill's career was revived circa Acceleration. I bought the album at the time and was incredibly disappointed to find this version NOT on it. The album version is lo-fi, unpolished and stuck in the 70s whereas this is firmly in the 80s

Where is this version from? It's got more movement on it than the album version on Quit Dreaming & Get On The Beam
Great and thanks for posting
