Hey,
when I put my ps3 on, I don't see a windows media player icon, in fact I don't see anything only: 'search for media servers).
Can anyone help me out here?

thankyou sooooo much! it worked and i can now watch my movies and listen to music from my ps3 via streaming from my computer account! :)
does the computer need to remain ON for media sharing to work? or no?

man, i used to have it then i got windows 7, now shits all differant, and im sure this is a good tut, but its hard to read and see what your doing :/ ..

@InternalAtmosphere I'm sorry but when I
published this 2 years ago Youtube did
not support HD resolution.
Window 7 can do the same thing and the
configuration is a bit simpler, but I think
you must have at least Home Premier
version to use this feature.

Mine works but some movies say file is corrupted, even though they play fine on Windows. Have you seen that issue?

Please note that PS3 does not support all file format and codec.
