You make many good points, however your rhetoric is abhorant (using the words "liberty" to cultivate listeners) as to lead the blind nationalists. I believe the government is bloated because it is poorly organized. Social welfare and public services are absolutely necessary with our population and needs, but the amount of spending that takes place in the United States is unusually high. Probably because we are too used to privilage. The government is only fairly representing our habits.

Government never retracts, they only spend more. Big Government is regressive, you pay, but never back, unless you're A: Welfare Slug, B: Government Employee. Each year of spending (at the current rate) will take 10 years to pay back, therefore if the Government were required to adhere to the same standards as private individuals & public corporations, Government must reduce spending by 90%. Instead Congress & this Administration intentionally spend us into bankruptcy: "Cloward - Piven Strategy"

Taxes are good when paying roads and schools and stuff like that but when paying off big companies it sucks. I'd ratheir it paying for good stuff.

The majority of tax dollars go toward Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP. Redistribution of wealth simply slows economic growth. If we could phase out these programs, we could increase spending on roads and schools while lowering taxes and balancing the budget.
