Lyrics

Good lovin'
The girls got plenty good lovin'
Ask me how I know and I'll tell you so
She use ta be my girl
I respected her when she was mine
I used to neglect her
She wanted more than I could give
But as long as I live
She'll be my girl
She use ta be my girl
She use ta be my girl

She had a charming personality
The girl was so right for me
She's my girl
And if I had the chance
I know I would take her back
As a matter of fact, right away that day
Not only good lookin'
The girl was so smart
You can't beat her cookin'
Ask her how I know and I'll tell you so
She use ta be my girl

Deep down inside I still love her
I would place no one above her
She's warm and sensitive
For as long as I live
She'll be my girl
If I had the chance I'd take her back
As a matter of fact right away, by today

Good lovin', the girl's got plenty good lovin'
Ask me how I know and I will tell you so
She use ta be my girl, my girl
She use ta be, use ta be my girl
She use ta be my girl
She use ta be my girl

  • My name is Carl from South Philly and I know Kenny Gamble personally I just want to tell you that you have the pictures wrong at the start of this video you have pictures of Kenny and Leon but you have Leon listed as Kenny and you have Kenny listed as Leon you need to correct that when you get a chance a lot of people wouldn't of caught that mistake but since I know these gentlemen and I'm from Philly I thought I would let you know about that !!!!!

  • @carlmanley2008 Carl, thank you! I appreciate your kind intercession. How lucky that you know Kenny Gamble personally. What a genius... please give him my warmest regards and tell him that I thank him from the bottom of my heart for making the world a better place. best, david

  • All songs I ever heard of are in a box in my head. Somehow, the songs come out of the box and into my conscience . . .and just like this one, I start singing it and I say "I haven't heard this song in years, where did it come from?" Great song!

  • those were the days when something had to be shared...Joy,Happiness and Hope...
