Hard accelerating to give you an idea how a '91 1.6L sounds with Racing Beat high flow intake, Jackson racing performance headers and high flow cat with Borla dual exhaust sport system. I also have the timing at 18 degrees and running 93 octane. Not super fast but the sound is awesome. The driver side window is partially open in this video.

  • 18 degrees is a bit much? 14 is generally what you would do. 10 is stock. 18 will loose a lot of top end.

  • @testacorsa150 It definitely moves the power to the lower rpm's which allows you to better use the power gains with normal driving but it requires you to use premium gas to prevent detonation. Since this video I have it set at 14 degrees. I feel it gives a power increase across the whole power band but mostly in the upper rpm range. It also allows me to use regular gas if I so choose. Since it's the weekend car I still use premium as insurance against possible detonation if it's a hot day.

  • your making like 0-60 in about high 8's low 9's I think. Thats pretty normal still though. Not bad and it sounds great.

  • I'm not launching it as hard as I could. I could probably knock off a second at least if I were to but I don't want to stress it too much being the original transmission and not having the funds available to fix it if it decides to break :)
