Bulawayo 2009 - The City Of Kings

PLEASE NOTE: These pictures were taken on a Sunday (in a very Christian country)...hence why the streets are so empty.

These photo's were taken in August this year (2009). This was my first proper visit to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe's second city.

What I saw is one of the most beautiful cities I've seen so far (Beauty in it's own right). With it's colonial buildings that seemed to have been left unfazed by time. Bulawayo is known for it's extremely wide Boulevards, it's colonial buildings and it's history as the Capital of the former Ndebele Kingdom.

No luck with the music then! Spent 14 years in Bullies..........will go for a look again one day. Miss the Jacarandas in bloom, the matabele sense of humour......coke floats......Eski's ice cream.....Downings bread.....puff adders (only kidding). Stock cars and speedway......trade fair.....Baron's motor spares keeping our Mini's going and so on and so on.......Aaahhhh now what was that music again?
