@Pillowhuggerr Actually I think the same as you. In my former comment I replied to @ilan134 comment, where he/she stated that people, who lived in that area, where Chris died, thought he was a total moron. And I reflected to that, as I understand why people who lived there, thought this, BUT the movie/book/Chris life isn't about that. He wanted to find a better way to live, and I respect him for that. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough.

@ilan134 You're right, however the whole thing isn't about how stupid he was. It's the choice he made. Had the braveness (or stupidity feel free to choose) to broke out, to leave behind society and to try to make his own living the way he wanted.

There are people who live like that for all their life, indeed. But they never knew another ways, like having cars, internet and other comfy stuff. They were born into this situation, learnt how to live in the wild.
