Note that the Blue-winged has yellowish wingbars and the Golden-winged sings a Blue-winged song. Lots of interbreeding in this area and Golden-winged Warblers are rarer every year.

  • Phenomenal footage, especially the rare Lawrence's. There isn't one lick of GWWA song in the whole video! It's very interesting how the BWWA are taking over, I'm sure you're aware of the DNA testing that's being conducted on the two species. Down here in TN there is some pretty major conservation efforts underway to help protect these birds, and they may be federally listed soon as well. Bravo, and thanks for sharing!
