Who will panic and not stop calling! (Yeah this sounds bad since it's mothers day today, LOL!) But the point is that I think it is hard to come from a religious background...I hope I am able to make you feel that I am feeling your pain. And I'm thankful (and pretty sure you are too) for things like youtube where people can post stories like these to reach out to others and tell them they're not the only ones feeling that way. And I'm glad to be meeting trans people of color like yourself

And the reason we come out as gay men first is because we lump together anything that is not heterosexual as the label "gay". But I really like you...you seem to be a very positive person, and definitely brave! It must have been really hard coming from a religious household. I come from a family who is Muslim...my mom is OK with me being trans...but with them being from that culture she is the type where if something stressful happens, she'll be the little damsel in distress.

Hi knari...This is a great video! I am a trans person in the Seattle,WA area. I live full-time right now. It sounds like you first came out as a gay man before coming out as trans...that was the way it happened for me, too...I guess it seems like some of us when we first realize we are not male heterosexuals, the first thing that comes to mind is that we are gay men before it dawns on us that we are transgendered. I could tell you that I definitely prefer being treated female over male!

i can totaly relate to that. im going through the same thing right now. im having a really hard time accepting the person i am. hopefully itll get better, but your video helped a lot good to know im not the only one feeling like that. oh and by the way you hated not being able to grow boobs and i HATE having boobs lol.

I think it's funny how we ftm"s and mtf"s are going in opposite directions but are having very similar journey's.
