  • Haha, yea i guess thats important information. Then they are the same thing as tannerite but avilable at retail locations?

  • Yep, I bought them through Sportsman's Guide online. They're sold in smaller quantities which works for me because I just wanted to mess around a little with them as seen above.

  • star targets are a fire hazard, try tannerite.

  • I guess I should mention that the star target was placed in front of a 1lb propane tank and was shot from a safe distance as to avoid shrapnel.

  • Try Sure Shot Targets. The quality of the chemicals are blasting grade where Star uses fertilizer and the cheapest catalyst. The pyrotechnic hobbiest won't even buy the catalyst for fireworks! The targets are not always going off and a lot of times it throws prill because it does not propagate fully! NOTE: Sportsman's Guide Will be carrying the Sure Shot Exploding Targets that are .22lr sensitive in December and maybe they will offer both Star and Sure Shot Targets for people to choose from!
