GSE will always have an advantage because it doesnt have to make a profit and cannot go out of business for poor performance

his comparison was faulty

Great Question. A very nebulous reply.

His answer was a little shakey although I think he answered it. He basically said that though the public option will be cheaper, it won't neccesarily be more successful, like the postal services. And he also says that he is planning on trying to fix that issue. Keep in mind that the bill was still in development at the time. Hell, its still being reformed. Hopefully we can get a good public option. Massachusets state healthcare is gr8 affordable and could work on a federal level. Check it out!

@BInscrutable you saved me a lot of typing to try and explain that to these ignorant people. Thank you

Did you guys watch the same video? The guy's question was how does a private corporation providing insurance compete with a gov't sponsored enterprise (GSE) within the same space. Obama answers that this can be achieved by removing subsidies (won't be exempt from taxes) and forcing the GSE to solicit market rates for raising capital, thereby leveling the playing field. Just as you have state run organizations that can go bankrupt, so too would this be possible with the GSE insurer.

Obama just responded with big words and non-sense sentences to confuse everyone including himself. ( He never answered the question either ) HOOTSVAH!
Zach should be very careful in any future stances against Obama. The media will try to portray him as a racist and a traitor against the nation.
