I lived in Broadford and surrounding areas for nearly 30 years (still do) I also have the Video and this is in fact 1979.

Takes me back...I remember going on a helmet protest run in the early 80's from the Ford factory to the Broadford concert. Cops weren't happy but didn't bust anyone. Good times!
-
However I am from West Oz so it would not be surprising if we were a year behind the times.

i bought the thunderground 45 in 1979 when it was playing here . on the radio. I would say it is 1979. It was on the charts the same year Manfred Manns Earth band had You Angel You on the charts.

This is the classic line-up with Joey Amenta on guitar. Used to catch them at Bombay Rock all the time. Ah, the memories...

First week in december either 78 or 79 still got the ticket somewhere

Yes indeed,
Could have been Dec 2nd,1978.
Were Cold Chisel playing as well?
If not then it's probably '79.

Hey 2000tc88.
Thanks for the info. We must have indeed recorded simultaneously.
I'm going to re-upload this baby sometime with improved video.
I worked on the audio a lot, so I reckon it's as good is it gets with what I had.
The video, however, is too dark and could use some correction.
That is, if the major record companies don't step in and pull fan-based uploads.
I guess they can't see the value in the uploading of historical material, which can only boost sales of re-released matertial.
