Atheism is not the opiate of anything.

This is a response to "rationalresponder" and his claims that a label used to identify the rest of the world who aren't theists's can be an "op[iate] of the masses" (ref: Karl Marx to religion). He has no idea that atheism is a root word with a prefix which leads him blindly into prejudicing others...

Same physical we have for other groups who are prejudiced: people with herpes, people who believe in UFO abductions, people in insane asylums, muslims(there are white ones too, you know...not just the brown folks as you might think), scientologists, etc...

1) I explained that a prejudiced cabbie would still take the fare, yet have prejudiced opinions of their customer

2) If I told very conservative christian cabbies I was atheist, I'm certain I would be denied a ride from time to time. Just like I am denied the opportunity to even be considered a citizen by "nameless" former Presidents.
