Stockton, CA solid waste RATE increase

The City of Stockton, CA is proposing
a 2.5% solid waste rate increase unless at least 50% of rate payers protest it.

This rate increase is proposed because of rising gas prices encountered by the waste removal services. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all offset our increased fuel cost on somebody else?

There must be a majority protest or the City Council will consider approving the proposed special rate increase on June 1, 2008.

This is really happening and it will affect us all if we don't ACT NOW before April 15, 2008.
