J.S. Bach - Cantata BWV 180 "Schmücke dich, o liebe Seele"

Conductor Helmuth Rilling gives a lecture on the Cantata, utilizing the orchestra and soloists of the day for musical demonstrations.

from June 1984 at the Oregon Bach Festival

in this segment, Rilling cover the Aria [Soprano] "Lebens Sonne, Licht der Sinnen" with typically superb singing from Arleen Augér.

then the Recitative [Bass] "Herr, lass an mir dein treues Lieben", fine singing by Jan Opalach.
