I'd love to do something, but I have no idea what. The core of the problem, as far as I can tell, is the application of the (other) golden rule: who's got the gold makes the rules. I see no way to make a government that will be immune to that in the long term; democracy mitigated the issue, until everybody who was up for election became corrupt

Basically if we'd have smaller/poorer companies combined with democracy, it would be unfeasible to buy everybody. Can you see anti-trust laws pass today?

Independent parties and Democrats are no better anymore. We need a whole overhaul of our government. The 2 party 3 branch system has failed us, it's time for something new before it crumbles around us just like it did with every other nation that there ever was. The government crumbles and society along with it. The only way around it is to change the government before it's too late.
