I hate to admit this, but in 100 years the african race, black people will ACTUALLY be a endangered species. What I mean by that, is many blacks in Africa and here in America will be dead, due to diseases (aids, etc), killings. How long this culture of death will last, when the men get theirselves together, it will be in their 60's, the age you suppose to retired. These elders of today, is what influence these young people. The elders, back in the 90's, killed each other and now passing it on

Exceptional commentary as always! As for the state of hip hop, I stick by my assertion that it was the WEST COAST rap which was the main catalyst for the demise of the art. During the 90's a lot of NY (east coast) rappers were mainly conscious; Public Enemy, Jungle Brothers, De La Soul, Big Daddy Kane, X-clan, etc., When NWA came out, white america received their green light to use the N-word and sing it happily and from there it was a downward spiral ever since.
