Cleaning Out MRSA Staph Infection

I had to clean out the pus from my staph infection with a sterile Q-tip, then put new packing into the hole. I had Vicodin but it was no help.

Did you get it in a hospital? Or some other way?

@WoundedEgo I have no clue how I got it. I hadn't been to a hospital I years before this happen to my finger. This was 4 years ago now and my finger is back to normal.

How do you know its MRSA?

I did go to the doctor for it and he lanced it and took a culture. They found it was indeed MRSA. He gave me the q-tips and stuff to clean it out for about 4 days. I was on 2 types of antibiotics for the infection.

He had sepsis , blood clots in leg & lungs , it started attacking his heart valves , his lungs collapsed , his heart rate was over 200 bpm , it ate through his femur bone , septic arthritis in his hip & on & on. We never knew it was out in the community. I thought you got it from hosp.

My son contracted this last year. Friday he was saying his thigh was sore. Sat took him to gp and he said he has viral infec give him pain relief. Sunday he was screaming in agony so I took him to hosp. Monday we find out it's staph. He has no sores no nothing. They transfer him to childrens hosp then he goes seriously I'll in hours.

Staph can live on dust up to 7 months on telephones etc for 6 weeks. A third of people have it living on there skin or in there noses , never getting an infection in their lives. It dosent live in your blood , if it's in the blood than you have sepsis (blood poisoning) and need emergency treatment. To protect yourself from this infection , wash hands regulary & if you have open wounds even scratches always keep them covered & clean.

u do know its in ur blood stream...not just the outer surface. i have had staff 3 times. im wrestler so i fucking know. u need medication not just clean the surface, if u have any popped pimples or slight cuts ur fucked with itching and pain. so go to the doctors if u get it again and get some meds. trust me

he bottom of my foot cause the tingling was driving me nuts and it left a good cut about 7 inches long and a millimeter wide and since a staple Is a box shaped U it left two scratches the same length long...

An the pain was so intense that I had to grab a towel and wet it and wrap it around my foot which helped for a little while but
