Transcendental Etude No.12 in B-flat minor, "Chasse-neige". The credits are after his performance, which is only 4:27 long.

  • it's nice to know that people still find classical music to be orgasmic.

  • these etudes are virtually impossible on an upright due to the repetition action on a grand when the key is half-depressed not rebounding fast enough i've tried

  • @MrMuse18 Its apparently only about 3 hours day, making him even more of a genius. He actually doesn't like playing the piano, prefers to drink and gamble! There is a documentary on youtube where you can find all of this out.

  • this bloke MUSTdo at least 25 hours practice a day...

  • @bartzdim it was outdoor summer i think. I will sweat like hell if i played one of these piece. He played 12 consecutive pieces of this level. imagine that.

  • Justin Bieber disliked this video in 5 different accounts

  • omg he is so sweaty

  • stunning performance of one of my favorites

  • was it raining?

  • Schwarzenegger.

  • It's a shame I tried :like"ing this 5x's to emphasize my liking, but alas, youtube has not implemented a rating system of any sort.

  • @About14Pandas Actually, and I know it's hard to imagine, the Douze Grandes Etudes are harder than the Transcendental Etudes. For the latter Liszt removed any stretches greater than a tenth. The exception is no.4 Mazeppa which is harder in this set. He also did some other edits and I find the Transcendentals to be more cohesive and musical than their earlier counterparts. I still have trouble stretching a 10th with my short pinkies though. This is my favorite but Kissin plays it better IMO.
