As someone who also deals with depression - and who can really relate to "Grey" at the moment especially - its always interesting when someone else can meet you in those dark places. Thanks for sharing. Good stuff.

@WanderlustWhispers Yeah, it is tough to deal with that black cloud. I am trying to break the bad habit of taking comfort or refuge in that sadness. I hope you are able to move out of that place into the light. If you ever need someone to talk to , my inbox is always open. I wish you well. :D

@ThePeaceableMan I struggle with that idea myself - as a "tortured" artist I have wondered if getting much better will effect my art. Have been taking the steps to reach out and reconnect with people I love and that are positive influences on my life. I hope you know the same goes for you - my inbox is always open as well. And I believe we are now Facebook friends? :) You should come to a show in ATL soon - I've been trying to find someone to go to Alkaline Trio w/me. Aug. 18th? :P

@WanderlustWhispers I used to feel the EXACT same way. That I needed to suffer for my art. The opposite happened. Once I went on meds, my creativity tripled. I was still in touch with those emotions, I just didn't need to live there to express myself or to find inspiriation. I need to get down to Hotlanta soon! I wish I could go but I'm broke atm. People may not know this but Derek Grant from Alkaline Trio is one of the best drummers ever.

@WanderlustWhispers If you ever come to Nashville, or if anyone else is playing Atlanta, we should meet up. I haven't been to the Vortex in years! Since the Olympics I think.

@ThePeaceableMan I could always come to Nashville for a good show. What is halfway between us? Chattanooga? They have good shows too - and there's always someone playing in Atlanta. Wow. Haven't been to The Vortex since 1996? Poor you! They have the world's best grilled cheese. If I'm in Little 5 though - I tend to go to Planet Bombay - the Indian restaurant across the street from The Vortex :)
