the tonal values seem a bit ungradual,he seems to miss a midtone from straight black to grey..the shading also appears rushed..overall it looks kinda rough.! id love to see the healed version ,just sayin!.but well done since bob was lookin over hes shoulder..

@MrSmanie It healed fine and with a lot of different tones. It is featured in a bunch of books as well in it's healed version.

As I said below, fresh tattoo's will never show the range of shades and contrast and all the different greys will look the same as it is fresh. when healed, the redness of the skin dies back and the skin heals properly over a couple of weeks, the true image will emerge. It wasnt rushed either, took 5 hours and Bob came and gave advice to Dan the whole time.

Well it's a fresh tattoo and so will be dark but it healed lighter with some real good shading, and as for cartoony, well it is a caricature so what would you expect?
