I'm itching, now, to buy a Victorian mansion and restore it. Horribly dangerous impulse, these days. But I want lambrequins like Merriam has depicted here, and I don't think our 'French Farmhouse' is quite right for them. Maybe we can redo the Media Room with 'Faux Fenetres' and Grisaille, in the Merriam manner. My wife has decreed that, aside from that one room, the interiors for this house are to be strict Swedish Country Gustavian. What I'm seeing here is more my style.

It's Andreas Scholl, German countertenor...He specialises in Baroque music, but you can also hear him in some contemporary repertoire.
