This is one of the most shocking videos I have put together. If you think you "get it" when it comes to how severe our weight problem is as a nation and as a world, please watch these two short videos.

Part 1 is here on YouTube. Part 2 is on my members-only blog section, but membership is 100% free. Just click the link in this description to sign up and get all my private vids, articles, and more free. Thanks.

  • As a Brit i can confirm things are steadily getting worse here too.

If you travel to Eastern European countries it's a different story.

They have descent diets and thier women are fit as fuk.

  • Yep... unfortunately it's becoming a world-wide pandemic.

  • Despite what Jon says in the 2nd video, the US is almost alone in the percentage of obesity. Maybe this is a signal for americans to look at their beliefs about life and the world. Is there a connection between the insatiable hunger for food and the insatiable hunger for money, and geographical expansion? Is there a connection between the above and producers promoting processed food against honesty or caring for their fellow men and just for the dollar? The leaner your Mind the happier u'll be.

  • Well, we DEFINITELY lead the world in obesity for a first-world nation, that's for sure. Obesity however is rising in 62% of the world, and that excludes poverty-stricken nations.

Indeed, we can learn a lesson from our European friends and others on how to live more reasonably. Re: the connection between food and greed? Perhaps. But I think it's more cultural norms. Most Americans are not stuck in the mindset of, say, Manifest Destiny. ; )

  • Yes, and "normal food" ie. just fruit and veggies off a field,or hormone-free meat is less accessible and more expensive than junk food.

they won't do you that much good in the forces if they're obese by age 16. No matter how hear you shout at them, by that point thy will -not- be able to physically keep up. It needs to start at a much younger age...

  • Failing that...just make them do 3 years in the forces. The NCO's won't stand for any weakness. We used to get 4 meals a day and it was never an issue.

  • Eastern Europe is a big place my friend. I was referring to countries like Estonia/Poland etc. I can dig what your saying tho, this fast food culture will take over the Eastern EU countries soon, it's inevitible. I believe even China is starting to have issues. It's such a simple problem to solve too. When I were young me and my mates would look forward to set school meals and this is why we don't find decent food boring now. The trouble is the kids these days get fed crap from an early age.

Not necessarily food and greed - but food and consumption rates. obesity is rising in Europe too - and in countries like Japan, too - where it was almost unheard of 50 years ago.

The sad thing is, that fattening food are ofen easier and cheaper to come by than healthy foods - because of mass production!

Are you kidding? Half of my family is Eastern European (Czech), and they had what we call unhealthy diets for years. I mean, don't get me wrong: I love my family to bits, but you can't imagine the stuff they eat. The stuff that I was fed as a kid, that lead to me having weight issues up to this day. And yeah, the girls are gorgeous when they're 20, but come look again when they're 45.

They're not as excessively obese as the Americans, but give them 30 years as prosperity rises...

  • there are some people who loving being big, huge sometimes. I know I do. At 270 pounds I'm very happy. ^^

  • wow, what a video (both). Scary, but it's true. Keep it coming Jon.
