FYI... I had uploaded this video earlier (a week or 2 ago) but have now re-eddited it to showcase just the Skinceuticals CE Ferulic. The earlier version made mention of a website and also included a promo code. I have since found out what a HORRIBLE and UNETHICAL company it is. They are NOT and authorized Skinceuticals dealer. They have also sent other YTubers products that are questionable in their authenticity. Skinceuticals themselves has stated that there is a laser printed number on the bottom of the bottle and will match the number found on the box. Skincaremarket.net have given out bottles with no printed number thus making them fakes. There was also an issue with being quoted a different price for shipping to Canada than what was shown on the site and a few weeks of frustration at being told the promo was one thing and having to constantly check back to make sure it was accurate. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt thinking it was simply a technical glitch rather than something else. I now know they were purposely being deceitful. They apologized profusely, offered compensation and a free Clarisonic to try to rectify it but I did not want the integrity of the channel to be compromised in any way. I have also asked them to remove the promo code as it was the name of the channel and I did not want to be associated with them, but behind my back they have used my image and channel for over a year without my knowledge to try and promote themselves! UNBELIEVABLE!! This is the WORST COMPANY I have EVER heard of! DO NOT ORDER from
Skincare market.net! VERY Shady.

***Thank-you so much for thinking that I am knowledgeable enough to ask me about your skin care dilemmas but I am NOT qualified to answer those questions. I only know what works for MY skin ;-)) I also don't know when it would be a good time to start using CE as I believe that when you're young you should just enjoy your youth and to not screw around with your skins natural state of being. A DAILY application of a good sunscreen is the BEST thing you can do for your skin in your teens or twenties in my opinion ;-))

Please take the time to do your own research to find the best price on the internet. It can be found at many derm offices/clinics or at retail shops that have licensed estheticians on site ;-)

Product Mentioned:

SKINCEUTICALS CE Ferulic

I have heard that some people have found CE Ferulic to be too moisturizing. I believe the Phloretin CF is better suited for oily skin types. It is touted as the new super antioxident and has taken 5 yrs to produce, but I believe it pretty much does the same thing as CE Ferulic although it has skin tightening properties that CE does not. I personally preferred the CE to the Phloretin.
VITAMIN C is known to help with hyperpigmentation fight off free radicals, UVA/UVB protection and collagen production.
I have found that by keeping it in the fridge it has stayed clear like water (as it should be) for the entire duration of use ;-)
I have also heard the debate that VIT C degrades and breaks down when exposed to sunlight, therefore it should be used at night. Personally I have never used C E Ferulic at night and Skinceuticals also suggests you use it in the daytime with your SPF. It's interesting to note that many Derms actually disagree with each other on this topic, making it very difficult to make the right decision. For myself I believe that everything starts to degrade once it's subjected to the environment but I would rather use it in the day for the protection and increased efficacy of my sunscreen. Not to mention that once absorbed it stays in your system for up to 3 days so honestly it will always be exposed to light whether you decide to put it on in the evening or morning. But I want to stress that this is my personal choice of use and that you should always do their own research in order to make the most informed decision for yourself ;-)

  • When I looked at the reviews on makeupalley so many people say it smells like hot dogs! Did you find that true?

  • @sbgitana1 That's so hilarious! When I first did a video about CE Ferulic about 1 1/2 yrs ago that's exactly what I said it smelled like....lol! I had to take it down because there was some personal info mentioned that I was not comfortable with. So yes to answer your question, yes it did smell like hot dogs at first but of course I don't smell anything at all now ;-)

  • That is so interesting about keeping it in the fridge. I use the Avalon Organics Vitamin C. I have not been able to see a huge difference. I wonder how it would compare to the CE.

  • @krcar4 Vit C products are definitely not all alike ;-)

  • Hi, I am very interested in the CE Ferulic. I was curious though how long a 1 oz. bottle lasts for you? I'm hoping that it will justify the price if it lasts longer.

You have amazing skin, so I'm hoping I will have just as fantastic results!

  • @sam73R Thank-you! It lasts me about 5 or 6 months ;-))

  • Hi, thanks for the message. I will try to find some info on the hydroquinone. I am hearing conflicting reports. I guess we can't be too careful. Thanks for telling me. I must see if I can get your vit C . I looked on line but didn't find it. Happy New Year x

  • @Angelmagik2 I tried the Obagi and it's nothing like CE Ferulic...on my skin at least, if Obagi works for you then that's fantastic! ;-D I would reconsider hydroquinone though ....it's been banned elsewhere in the world and I believe there is a motion to ban it in Canada and the US as well. It may be worth investigating ;-)))

  • Hi, very interesting. I have been using obagi 20%,vit C as well as the rest of their products which are mostly tretinoin (vit A) and hydroquinone. The vit C is a life saver as the treatment dries the the skin. I shall look for your vit C as well. Thanks for the tips. Love and hugs Christine xx

  • @lovebeautyskin Yes Phloretin is definitely more suitable for oily skin...so glad you love it! ;-D
